Webinar on Effective Search Strategies: Finding What You Need in Benilde's Center for Learning Resources

The Br. Fidelis Leddy Center for Learning Resources (CLR) would like to invite you to attend our Webinar on Effective Search Strategies: Finding What You Need in Benilde's Center for Learning Resources

 

This 1.5-hour session will focus solely on the CLR's various information resources, specifically the LaRCy Guide, the various CLR-subscribed e-resources, and the CLR's online catalog, the WorldCat Discovery. The session is open to the Benildean community and will help them master the CLR's various resources.

 

Objectives are as follows:

 

  1. Participants will acquire a comprehensive understanding of the various resources available, such as databases, e-books, journals, and other digital resources available at the CLR, including print;
  2. Participants will gain knowledge about the diverse search tools and platforms for their respective areas of study;
  3. Participants will learn search strategies, such as Boolean operators, keywords, filters, to efficiently narrow down their search outcomes;
  4. By the end of the session, participants will have the necessary skills to conduct research more effectively and efficiently, which will help their academic and professional endeavors.

 

NOTE: 

If you wish to get the CSBLIFE credit point and/or e-certificate, you must be present for at least 40 minutes of the total time duration of this session and you need to accomplish our online evaluation form using your Benilde email address
