The Br. Fidelis Leddy Center for Learning Resources (CLR) would like to invite you to attend "From Shelves to Society: Tara at Abutin Natin ang mga Bata!" A Webinar on Reading Advocacy in honor of Library and Information Science (LIS) Month.

 

By the end of the learning session, participants should be able to:

 

  1. Understand the importance of reading for personal, academic, and social development in all age groups;
  2. Provide learners, educators, librarians with tools and strategies for actively promoting reading in their communities, schools, or households;
  3. Focus on encouraging the younger generation to develop strong reading habits that make reading enjoyable and relatable;
  4. Encourage children to develop a lifelong love of reading by exposing them to a variety of books, and educational resources;
  5. Enhance connections between the library and the local community by engaging educators, and other stakeholders in the promotion of children's literacy and education.

These objectives not only enhance awareness regarding the significance of reading but also equip participants with practical tools and strategies to promote reading within their areas of influence.

 

NOTE: 

  • If you wish to get the CSBLIFE credit point and/or e-certificate, you must be present for at least 40 minutes of the total time duration of this session and you need to accomplish our online evaluation form using your Benilde email address
