The Br. Fidelis Leddy Center for Learning Resources (CLR) would like to invite you to attend our  training session on "Going Beyond the Fundamentals of Scholarly Publishing: What Researchers should know about Predatory Publishing and How to Avoid it".

 

 

The learning outcomes of the session are as follows:

  • Identify Predatory Publishing Practices: Recognize the key characteristics of predatory journals such as deceptive editorial practices, a lack of peer review, and misleading impact metrics;
  • Differentiate between legitimate and predatory journals by using established criteria to evaluate journal credibility and publisher reputation;
  • Develop Strategies to Avoid Predatory Publishing - Use best practices when selecting reputable journals, and making ethical publishing decisions;
  • Navigate Ethical Publishing Resources - Discover tools, and databases that help you make ethical and impactful publishing decisions.
